Role Summary

Role: Bill of Materials (BOM) and PLM Analyst

Location: Fremont, CA. 

Pebble is recruiting for a detail-oriented Bill of Materials (BOM) & PLM Analyst to manage and optimize our product lifecycle management processes and bill of materials structures. This role is critical in ensuring accurate product data, streamlining manufacturing processes, and supporting cross-functional teams with reliable product information throughout the entire product lifecycle.

BOM Management & Analysis

  • Create, maintain, and validate complex multi-level bills of materials across various product lines

  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure BOM accuracy and completeness

  • Perform regular BOM audits to identify discrepancies, obsolete components, and compliance issues

  • Support new product introduction (NPI) processes by establishing accurate BOMs from prototype through production

PLM System Administration

  • Administer and configure PLM software systems, ensuring optimal performance and user accessibility

  • Develop and implement PLM best practices, workflows, and governance procedures

  • Train end users on PLM functionality and provide ongoing technical support

  • Manage product data integrity, including part numbering schemes, revision control, and change management processes

  • Generate comprehensive reports and analytics from PLM systems to support business decision-making

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering teams to translate design requirements into manufacturable BOMs

  • Work closely with supply chain and procurement to optimize supplier selection and component sourcing

  • Support manufacturing engineering with work instructions, routing information, and process documentation

  • Facilitate engineering change order (ECO) processes and ensure proper documentation and approval workflows

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and metrics related to BOM accuracy, PLM system utilization, and process efficiency

  • Conduct variance analysis between planned and actual material usage

  • Provide regular reporting on product costs, material availability, and supply chain risks

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field

  • 1+ years of experience in BOM management, PLM administration, or product data management

  • Experience with manufacturing environments and understanding of production processes

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with 3D Experience, CATIA, ENOVIA and DELMIA

  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis functions

  • Knowledge of CAD systems and ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Core Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Effective communication skills with ability to work across technical and non-technical teams

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and regulatory compliance requirements

  • Experience with change management processes and configuration control
