About Job

As a Lead Product Designer at StashAway, you’ll shape the digital experience that empowers people to build long-term wealth. You’ll lead design for key initiatives, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to turn complex financial products into seamless client experiences.

This is a hands-on leadership role, reporting directly to the Chief Product officer. You’ll help set the design vision, mentor other designers, and raise the bar for craft and usability. If you’re passionate about creating meaningful products and have a deep interest in investing, we’d love to meet you.

This Role Will Give You The Opportunity To

  • Manage 1-2 experienced designers.

  • Execute across the full range of product design skills, from initial flows and wireframes, to polished mockups and prototypes and more.

  • Lead research projects using a variety of methods (surveys, interviews, usability testing and more) to understand and advocate for users in the design process.

  • Dig into data to evaluate, experiment and optimise designs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Technology, Product, Business Intelligence and more to define problems, identify opportunities, prioritise features and more.

  • Contribute to team-wide design systems.

  • Give and solicit feedback often with stakeholders and fellow designers.

  • Raise the bar for product quality in terms of impact, ease of use, and improve team processes.

What We Look For

  • Management experience and a track record of helping others grow

  • A body of work that showcases your design process and visual polish. (As a proxy, an approximate gauge is 8+ years of experience.)

  • Communication skills (verbal, written and visual). You’re comfortable in articulating your design rationale, presenting complex flows and documenting decisions to a wide range of stakeholders

  • User research skills and experience

  • Critical thinking skills. You ask questions and think analytically to form your own viewpoint

  • High proficiency in design tools and processes (user research, usability testing, etc). We use Figma, Dovetail, Maze, AI tools and more

  • Prior startup experience is a big plus or evidence that you can thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge about the investment landscape, either through your own personal investing or professional experiences
