Product Data Analyst

We are looking for a data savvy individual with a product mindset to join us as a Product Data Analyst within the Product Management department. The Product Analyst will work closely with the Head of Product and Product Managers, as well as the Data team, to help sharpen the Product teams analytics and insight generation capabilities.
You are passionate about providing data-driven insights to help various stakeholders make sound business decisions that ultimately translate to business results. You are unafraid of getting your hands dirty to understand the business and are able to think strategically to use different tools to derive insights that drive user experience and growth.

A self-starter with good business acumen, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across various levels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate business opportunities, data requirements, and customer problems
Outstanding analytical skills, with a proven track record of interpreting complex data sets and translating them into actionable insights and recommendations
Well-versed in SQL and have at least 1-2 years of relevant experience using SQL
Ability to use data structuring and visualisation tools, with a particular emphasis on Metabase. Familiarity with additional tools is advantageous
A degree with high grades in a relevant business discipline, e.g. Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business
Familiarity with UIUX and app funnels
Nice to have:
Experience in business projections modeling
Experience defining and launching customer facing experiments
You will be working under the guidance of the Head of Product, individual Product Managers, the Data team and other stakeholders to help provide clear product insights and produce product performance tools, trackers, and more.
Product launches: you will support with the data monitoring of beta versions and experiment definition for new products and features, working closely with PMs to communicate results and define next steps.
Post product launches: you will help with monitoring and sharing of the performance of past product launches, and suggest potential improvements.
You will perform occasional deep dive data analysis to identify potential root causes for specific types of user problems, and help with identifying growth opportunities.
You will own and maintain the Product analytics library (dashboards, frontend data events library) and product analytics related framework utilized by the departments
Event naming would be pre-vetted / revised by the Product Analyst and BI team would do final checks
DBT work (including on product related topics) will continue to be handled by BI, but open to proposals for new DBT models by the Product Analyst
You will drive product insights sessions with the different squads to help the teams evaluate current implementations and brainstorm potential iterations.
