TL;DR

Trainual is on the hunt for a high-performing Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing sales squad. This role isn’t about packing calendars with meetings - it’s about filling them with the right ones. You’ll be the first conversation our future customers have with Trainual, making sure every chat is smart, personal, and aligned with what we do best. You’ll book high-quality, well-vetted discovery calls for our AEs -  primarily focused on the top end of our ideal customer profile (100+ FTE scaling teams).

You’ll spend your days researching and reaching out to ops-savvy professionals who feel the strain of misaligned teams and inconsistent operations — and showing them there’s a better way. You’ll qualify inbound interest, target outbound leads, and bring real value to every interaction.

You can spot a real opportunity from a mile away and you know when to walk away, too. You’re coachable, resilient, and driven by results, not just activity. You love to hit a goal and are eager to grow your career in software sales. 

**We have an amazing office in Tempe right off Mill Ave. Sales team members are expected to be in office at least one day per week, and you’re welcome to come in more often if you’d like! Our current required in-office day is Tuesday (subject to change).

What you’ll own & improve:

  1. Outbound prospecting with purpose. You won’t just hit send and hope. You’ll research companies, personalize outreach, and open conversations that actually lead somewhere - primarily with businesses in our ICP+ (100+ FTE teams scaling fast). Email, phone, LinkedIn,  it’s all in play. Your mission? Get Trainual in front of the right people, at the right time, with the right message.

  2. Strategic partnership with AEs. You’ll team up with Account Executives to turn prospects into pipeline. Think: account planning, feedback loops, targeting strategies, and smooth-as-butter handoffs. The end goal? Book meetings that close — and build a repeatable motion that scales.

What you already know:

  • You’ve done this before. 1–3 years of SaaS SDR/BDR experience targeting SMB or mid-market teams.

  • You know the tools. HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoom — and how to work a CRM like a pro.

  • You’re customer curious. You thrive on learning about problems, asking layered questions, and connecting dots.

  • You get outbound. You’ve built and tested personalized sequences and know how to stand out in a crowded inbox.

  • You know when to dig in or walk away. You bring business acumen and prospect judgment, not just activity volume.

About the team:

You’ll be reporting to our Sales Manager, Ryan Burhans, and will partner with our wicked talented Account Executives to grow their pipeline.
