Multiplier is a global employment platform that helps companies hire and manage talent compliantly across borders. As a Director of Compliance, you will play a crucial role in shaping, scaling, and operationalizing a world-class compliance program across our global footprint.

This is a strategic leadership role balancing compliance framework design with day-to-day operational execution, especially across high-growth regions like North America (NAMER) and Latin America (LATAM). You will be responsible for ensuring all live entities are compliant, revenue-generating, and strategically aligned with business goals.

Skills & Qualification

  • 10–15 years of experience in Compliance, Legal, or Global HR Operations, with a background in Employer of Record (EOR), global entities, or people-focused tech companies.

  • Proven experience with global regulatory frameworks (e.g., employment law, data privacy, local tax/benefits obligations).

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence without direct authority, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • JD preferred; equivalent experience and certifications (e.g., CCEP, CRCM) also considered.

  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically, with a proactive leadership style and comfort in a high-growth, evolving compliance culture.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of global employment laws, regulations, and best practices, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex information.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective compliance solutions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate compliance risks.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement global compliance frameworks across Multiplier’s 109+ subsidiaries.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks, with a focus on employer obligations, litigation avoidance, and complaint reduction in NAMER and LATAM.

  • Monitor and respond to ongoing regulatory developments, audits, and state-level inquiries.

  • Ensure all live entities are compliant, revenue-generating, and strategically aligned with business goals.

  • Respond to ad hoc compliance queries from internal teams and external authorities.

  • Maintain oversight of compliance tracking systems (e.g., Google Sheets, Multiplier platform) and recommend enhancements.

  • Develop, update, and communicate global policies related to employment compliance.

  • Deliver internal training programs for business stakeholders, especially in Sales, Payroll, and Mobility.

  • Collaborate closely with Legal, HR, Finance, Product, and the Co-Founders to embed compliance into all business processes.

  • Lead and develop a growing compliance team (currently 3 FTEs + 2 interns).

  • Partner with senior leadership and act as a liaison for cross-functional and external stakeholder engagement.
