We’re growing extremely quickly, added $1M ARR in 30 days, and are onboarding customers faster than we can manage—so we’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep infrastructure experience to help architect and scale Virio's core platform alongside the CTO.
Own and evolve core infrastructure powering Virio's AI platform end to end
Design and build reliable, scalable data pipelines and ETL systems to support AI workflows at scale
Architect backend services that handle high-throughput, real-time workloads across text, video, and voice
Lead technical decisions on system design, data architecture, and platform reliability
Improve observability, performance, and operational excellence across the stack
Mentor engineers and establish engineering best practices as the team scales
Work closely with the CTO to shape technical strategy and long-term platform direction
Infrastructure depth – 4+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems at a high-growth startup
Data pipeline expertise – Hands-on experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines, data infrastructure, and batch/streaming systems
Systems engineering rigor – Deep understanding of systems design, performance optimization, and reliability engineering
Scalable service architecture – Proven track record designing services that handle scale, with strong opinions on tradeoffs
Technical leadership – Ability to drive architectural decisions, unblock teams, and raise the bar on engineering quality
High learning velocity – Comfort ramping quickly in new domains
High agency & self-direction – Acts without waiting for requirements or detailed instructions
Small-team intensity comfort – Comfortable working intensely and closely with a small, high-output team
