Cuesta Construction is looking for a full-time Senior Superintendent to join our team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Senior Superintendent, you’ll be responsible for monitoring construction projects for their
entire lifecycle. Duties include, but are not limited to, construction scheduling, subcontractor
coordination, and budgeting supplies, equipment, and labor. You would also be responsible for
ensuring all safety, quality, and health standards are met.
Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, Project Engineers, subcontractors, and
other construction management to determine project needs.
Create and manage complete construction schedules to finish projects on time.
Coordinate Subcontractors as needed, including scheduling, understanding of work to
be performed, quality control, etc.
Set performance goals and deadlines.
Plan construction processes.
Estimate costs and ensure the project is on budget.
Supervise staff and provide constructive feedback.
Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities.
Implement safety and quality guidelines.
Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly.
Resolve on-site issues and emergencies.
Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
Regularly report changes and updates to Project Management and management.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
Must have 8+ years of experience as a superintendent in the construction industry.
Must have in-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA
guidelines.
Must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation to get to various job sites.
Must be able to create and manage construction schedules from project plan sets and
Subcontractor input.
Must be able to legally work in the United States.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills.
Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints.
Ability to work well independently and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-
oriented environment.
Self-motivated with attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Must be proficient in Smartsheet and/or MS Projects.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Will be required to stand for long periods of time.
Compensation:
$150,000 - $180,000/year, depending on experience.

Job Details:
This is a full-time position on various job sites, Monday through Friday. Some
overtime may be required.
