We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Lead Cook to oversee food preparation and kitchen operations across our two vibrant locations in Costa Mesa and Irvine. What You'll Do:

  • Lead kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment that aligns with our current crew's culture.

  • Effectively communicate upwards to management regarding team performance, operational needs, employee issues, and any challenges.

  • Hold kitchen staff accountable for their responsibilities and performance, ensuring adherence to our standards.

  • Prepare and cook a variety of delicious food items, strictly following recipes to maintain consistency and quality.

  • Manage inventory, place orders, and minimize waste.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations.

  • Utilize technology, including word processing (e.g., Word), spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), and email for communication and basic record-keeping.

  • Assist with menu development and special projects as needed.

  • Travel between our Costa Mesa and Irvine locations as required.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a Prep Cook or Cook Lead in a fast-paced food service environment.

  • 1-2 years of lead or supervisory experience, demonstrating your ability to guide and motivate a team.

  • Bilingual, Spanish is a must!

  • A proven ability to communicate effectively with both team members and upper management.

  • Experience in holding staff accountable for performance and maintaining standards.

  • A strong understanding of recipe adherence and quality control.

  • Proficiency in basic computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and email.

  • A strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A positive attitude and a passion for creating delicious food.

  • Reliable transportation is essential as you will be working and driving at both our Costa Mesa and Irvine locations.

  • Full-time availability, including weekends and holidays (approximately 40 hours per week).

  • Hours are early morning and during the day, breakfast and lunch shift. 

What We Offer:

  • Competitive hourly wage of $23-$26 per hour, plus tips, which average an additional $4-$6/hour.
