Our Costa Mesa location is our flagship store, serving as a beacon for our brand and a hub for our community. We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and dynamic leader to manage all aspects of this critical location.

Job Summary:

The General Manager for our Flagship location will be the driving force behind its success, responsible for all daily operations, team leadership, and the overall customer experience. This role requires a hands-on leader who can maintain Coffee Dose's high standards of quality, service, and brand integrity, while also driving profitability and fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee all day-to-day operations of the flagship store, ensuring seamless service, efficient workflow, and adherence to all company policies and procedures.

  • Maintain the highest standards of product quality, presentation, and consistency for all coffee, food, and merchandise offerings.

  • Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

  • Manage equipment maintenance and troubleshoot operational issues promptly.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Recruit, hire, train, and onboard a high-performing team of baristas and shift supervisors.

  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and energetic work environment that motivates staff and promotes teamwork.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for staff development and growth.

  • Create and manage employee schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels while adhering to labor budgets.

  • Address employee relations issues and ensure a fair and respectful workplace.

Customer Experience:

  • Champion an exceptional customer experience, ensuring every guest feels welcomed, valued, and satisfied.

  • Actively engage with customers, solicit feedback, and resolve any concerns or complaints with professionalism and a solutions-oriented approach.

  • Promote Coffee Dose's brand values and create a memorable atmosphere that aligns with our unique identity.

Financial Performance:

  • Manage the store's budget, including labor costs, inventory, and operational expenses, to achieve profitability targets.

  • Analyze sales data, identify trends, and implement strategies to increase revenue and customer traffic.

  • Oversee cash handling procedures, daily deposits, and financial reporting accuracy.

Brand Ambassador:

  • Serve as a passionate brand ambassador for Coffee Dose, embodying our values and vision.

  • Work with the marketing team on in-store promotions, events, and local community engagement to drive brand awareness and customer loyalty.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (4+ years) in a management role within a coffee shop, restaurant, or retail food service industry, preferably in a high-volume location.

  • Strong understanding of coffee preparation techniques, industry trends, and food safety standards.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a team.

  • Exceptional customer service skills and a genuine passion for creating positive guest experiences.

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in managing inventory, scheduling, and POS systems.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the business needs.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,640.00 - $75,000.00 per year
